The Project

The structure behind
the flowers.

Union 3 Events brought EventPro in for Kam and Kay's wedding reception at the Four Seasons Hotel in Baltimore. The production scope covered every element in the room: ceiling grid fabrication and rigging, a custom bar build, a lit vertical installation behind the bar, stage, full drape, lighting, audio, and a custom graphic dance floor.

The centerpiece of the room was the hanging floral ceiling, thousands of individual strands suspended across the entire Four Seasons ballroom. The florist placed the flowers. EventPro built what they hung them from: a custom ceiling grid engineered and rigged to carry the full weight of the installation, with all rigging points distributed and hidden so the structure disappears from the floor below.

The custom bar at the back of the room was fabricated with a gold-finished mirrored face and a full-length integrated floral front panel. Behind the bar, a lit vertical rod installation served as the room's backdrop, each rod backlit from below and dressed by the florist with red to orange blooms running floor to ceiling. The white dance floor carried a custom calligraphy-style graphic. Drape covered the perimeter walls. Lighting held the room in warm amber and purple from dinner through dancing.

How It Was Built

Production elements and
scenic fabrication

01
Ceiling Grid + Rigging
EventPro engineered and installed the ceiling grid that carries the entire hanging floral installation. Every strand the florist placed was suspended from structure EventPro built and rigged. The grid distributes load across the ballroom ceiling with all rigging points hidden, so nothing structural reads from the floor.
02
Custom Bar Build
EventPro fabricated the main bar from the ground up with a gold-finished mirrored face and a full-length integrated floral front panel. The panel was built to hold the florist's arrangement flush against the bar face, lit from within. It reads as one piece from the dance floor, not a bar with flowers set in front of it.
03
Lit Column Backdrop
Behind the bar, EventPro built a vertical rod installation running floor to ceiling, each rod backlit from below. The florist dressed the rods with a red to orange floral gradient. The structure gave the florist a surface to work from and gave the room its anchor: a tall, lit backdrop visible from every seat in the ballroom.
04
Production Build
EventPro provided the full production foundation for the evening: stage, full perimeter drape in floor-to-ceiling gray, a custom white dance floor with calligraphy-style graphic line art, audio, and lighting that held warm amber and purple through dinner and dancing. Every element that makes a room work, handled in-house by one team.
