Founded in Maryland  ·  Built Nationwide

Our Story.

From a garage in Maryland to 80,000 square feet of in-house production capability — this is how EventPro got here, and where we're going.

Where We Started

Built from the
Ground Up.

"We started in a garage. We built everything ourselves — literally and figuratively."

Event Pro was founded in Maryland in the early 2010s by Nick Pignetti, shortly after he finished college. The company didn't start with a warehouse, a fleet, or a team of 150. It started with a clear conviction: that events could be produced at a higher level — with more creativity, more craft, and more accountability — than the industry standard at the time.

What began as a scrappy operation quickly grew into something more serious. Project by project, client by client, EventPro built a reputation for doing the hard work that other companies sent out — fabricating custom scenic elements in-house, designing environments from scratch rather than pulling from a rental catalog, and treating every production as if it were the most important one on the calendar.

Today, Event Pro operates from an 80,000 square foot production facility between Baltimore and Washington DC, with a second market presence in South Florida and nationwide travel capability for the right project. Our team of over 150 production professionals spans four in-house divisions — Ideation & Design, Scenic & Fabrication, Décor & Environment, and Technology Services — giving us the ability to produce events that most companies simply can't.

The garage is long gone. The mentality that built it isn't.

The Founder

Vision, Craft,
and the Details
In Between.

Nick Pignetti founded Event Pro shortly after college, starting in his parents' garage with a background in technical production and a conviction that events deserved to be built better. What drove him then drives the company now: a belief that the most powerful experiences happen when bold ideas meet truly seamless execution.

"The most powerful experiences happen when bold ideas meet seamless execution — and that gap between the two is where our team lives."

As Founder and CEO, Nick leads a team of over 150 production professionals across EventPro's Maryland and South Florida operations. His role spans creative vision and operational strategy — ensuring that the work the company produces is not only technically precise, but artistically intentional. Over the course of EventPro's history, that work has included performances by Sting and Andrea Bocelli, activations at FIFA and NFL events, productions for U.S. Presidents, and partnerships with some of the most recognizable institutions and brands in the world.

Inside the company, Nick is known for what the team calls "Nick-picking" — a nod to his sharp eye for the details that most people miss and the standard of care he brings to every project regardless of scale. He is especially invested in building strong client relationships, mentoring emerging creative talent, and sustaining a team culture grounded in excellence, humility, and ingenuity.

His leadership philosophy is straightforward: surround yourself with talented people, give them the tools and trust to do their best work, and never stop raising the bar on what's possible.

Our Facility

Built to Build
Anything.

Event Pro operates from an 80,000 square foot production facility located between Baltimore and Washington DC — one of the largest privately-held event production facilities on the East Coast. Under one roof, our four divisions design, fabricate, store, and deploy everything that goes into an EventPro production.

Our Scenic & Fabrication division runs a fully equipped shop with CNC routing, metal fabrication, foam carving, carpentry, and a dedicated paint and finishing bay. Our Décor & Environment division maintains an extensive inventory of proprietary furnishings, textiles, drape, and custom-built décor pieces. Our Technology division houses a full complement of professional audio, lighting, video, and rigging equipment. All of it — ready to deploy.

We also operate a dedicated fleet of production vehicles to support rapid turnaround on load-in and strike schedules across our markets.

How We Think

The Principles
Behind the Work.

These aren't values we put on a wall. They're the operating principles that show up in how we work — how we approach a brief, how we treat a client, how we hold ourselves accountable when no one is watching.
01
Build it better.
We don't rent what we can build. We don't outsource what we can do in-house. Every time we fabricate something ourselves, we control the quality, the timeline, and the outcome — and that standard shows in the finished work.
02
Details are the work.
The difference between a good event and an unforgettable one lives in the details — the finish on a scenic piece, the angle of a light, the tightness of a drape seam. We don't treat details as afterthoughts. They are the work.
03
Own the outcome.
When something goes sideways — and in live event production, something always does — we don't look for someone to blame. We look for a solution. Our clients hire us to solve problems they don't even know are coming. That's the job.
04
Relationships over transactions.
Our best client relationships have lasted a decade or more. That doesn't happen by executing a contract — it happens by genuinely caring about what the client is trying to accomplish and showing up the same way every single time.
05
Talent is everything.
EventPro is only as good as the people who build, wire, drape, program, and design every event we touch. We invest in our team — in their growth, their tools, and their working environment — because a culture of excellence produces excellent work.
06
Raise the bar. Always.
We use our last best project as the floor, not the ceiling. Every event we produce is an opportunity to push further — a new fabrication technique, a bolder design choice, a more efficient process. Standing still is not something we do well.
