The Project

A Gala Built to
Change the
Conversation.

The Acceptance to Action Autism Gala is one of Washington DC's most meaningful fundraising events — a high-profile evening benefiting children with autism, sponsored by the Embassy of the State of Qatar in partnership with the Autism Society of America. When the brief called for an environment that honored the creativity, individuality, and potential of every child the event serves, EventPro built exactly that.

The production theme, "Dreams in Color," became the creative engine for every element in the room. The Anthem's 6,000-capacity main floor was transformed into an immersive, color-saturated environment — with a custom-rigged ceiling canopy of hundreds of hand-crafted kites, a CNC-fabricated scenic stage surround, dimensional sculptural art installations throughout the foyer and pre-function spaces, and a full lighting and audio production timed to every moment of the program.

Every scenic piece, photo op, and printed graphic element was designed, fabricated, and installed by EventPro's in-house team. Nothing was rented. Everything was built specifically for this event and this mission.

How It Was Built

Production Elements &
Technical Execution

01
Custom Kite Ceiling Canopy
Hundreds of individually fabricated kites in the event's color palette were rigged across the full ceiling span of The Anthem's main floor — creating a dramatic overhead canopy that unified the entire 6,000-capacity room under a single cohesive visual.
02
CNC Stage Scenic & Sculptural Art
The stage was framed by large-scale CNC-fabricated geometric shapes in saturated event colors, flanking the LED wall on both sides. Three additional sculptural art installations — "Connect," "Accept," "Empower" — were built for the foyer, each a stacked abstract sculpture in the event palette with dimensional gold letter signage mounted behind them.
03
Dreams in Color Artist Palette
A large custom-fabricated artist's paint palette was built as the centerpiece of the pre-function gallery — printed with drawings and names contributed by children in the autism programs the gala supports. Surrounded by fresh florals and a curated photo display, it became one of the most photographed moments of the evening.
04
Full Lighting, Audio & LED Production
The Anthem's in-house team handled complete technical production including a full LED video wall on stage displaying co-branded Embassy of Qatar and Autism Society content, intelligent moving light rig, color wash across the room timed to program moments, and professional audio for presentations, speeches, and live performance throughout the evening.
