Event Lighting
Architectural, atmospheric, and performance lighting. Designed, programmed, and operated by our team.
Every event has a look.
Lighting is what it's made of.
Lighting is the most impactful element in any event environment and the most commonly underinvested. The difference between a room that photographs well and one that just functions is almost always lighting. Event Pro designs the rig, programs the console, and operates it from load-in to strike, so the look we designed is the look you get all night.
We carry a full inventory from wireless uplights and pin spots through moving head rigs and intelligent fixtures. Weddings, galas, corporate productions, brand activations, and concert events. The scale changes, the discipline doesn't.

Uplighting
Wireless LED uplights placed at walls, columns, tent poles, and architectural elements to wash the room in color from the floor up. Available in battery-powered wireless units for venues where cable runs aren't practical, or wired for longer show runs. Colors are mixed in fixture or at the console depending on the scope and client budget, so the room color matches your palette exactly. Uplighting is the fastest way to transform a blank ballroom into a specific environment.

Wash Lighting
Full-room and stage wash for galas, corporate productions, and performance environments. RGBW LED fixtures deliver precise color temperature control, from warm tungsten through deep saturated color. Stage wash for speakers and performers, cyc wash for backdrops and drape, and audience fill for event photography. Colors are programmed and cued from the console and can shift slowly throughout the program to change mood from cocktail hour through dinner and dancing.

Intelligent Lighting
Moving head fixtures for productions that need a dynamic look: beam effects, aerial patterns, color chases, and follow-spot capability from an automated rig. We use moving heads for concerts, award shows, brand activations, and large-scale galas where the lighting is part of the show. The rig is programmed and operated live from the lighting console by our LD, so effects run on cue.

Gobo Projection
Custom cut metal and glass gobos for pattern projection onto ceilings, walls, floors, and staging surfaces. Break-up patterns add texture and depth to blank surfaces without additional scenery. Botanical, geometric, and abstract patterns available from our standard library, or we produce custom gobos from client artwork. The same technique applies to monograms and logos — initials on a dance floor, a company mark on a stage wall, or a branded pattern on an event floor are all gobo projections from the same fixture type. Rigged and focused on-site for precise placement on whatever surface needs it.

Pin Spot Lighting
Narrow beam accent fixtures aimed precisely at centerpieces, floral arrangements, bar tops, buffet displays, escort card walls, cake tables, and any element that needs to stand out without washing the surrounding area. Pin spotting is the difference between a centerpiece that reads across the room and one that disappears into ambient light. The contrast between a tightly lit focal point and a darker surrounding environment is what gives a room depth and dimension — pin spotting is a large part of how that contrast gets built.

String and Bistro Lighting
Bistro and string lights for outdoor receptions, tented events, ballrooms, and indoor event spaces. We install string light canopies, market light runs, and Edison bulb configurations at any scale, from a single strand accent over a head table to a full-coverage overhead canopy for a 500-person outdoor reception. Standard bulb and LED filament options available, with outdoor-rated cable and hardware for all exterior installs.

Chandeliers and Pendants
Decorative chandelier and pendant fixtures flown from truss, overhead pipe, or venue rigging points. We carry crystal chandeliers, globe pendant clusters, and contemporary fixture options that work across formal galas, wedding receptions, and upscale corporate events. Every fixture is hung by our rigging team and wired to dimmer control, so brightness is managed from the board rather than fixed at venue circuit output.

Special Effects
When the lighting needs to do more than color a room, special effects are what take it from an event environment to a show. Cold spark machines for first dances, grand entrances, and stage moments. CO2 jets and cryogenic effects for high-energy concert and gala productions. Haze and atmospheric fog for beam definition, which is what makes a moving head rig actually read as a show in photos and video. Laser systems for concerts, brand activations, and large-format productions. Every effect is operated live and called on cue, so the timing lands with the moment it was built for.

Architectural and Landscape Lighting
Uplighting and accent fixtures for outdoor architectural elements, trees, columns, tent exteriors, and venue facades. We position and aim fixtures to highlight the natural geometry of the space: uplight trees from below, wash stone columns, illuminate the venue exterior, or accent specific landscape features. Particularly effective for outdoor receptions and tented events where the lighting environment needs to extend beyond the tent edge.
Designed for the room,
operated for the moment.
Most event lighting is a package selected from a list. A certain number of uplights, a color, a setup time, and a strike. Event Pro approaches lighting as a design problem. What does this room need to look like? What does this moment need to feel like? What does every camera in the room need to see? The answers to those questions drive every fixture placement, every color decision, and every cue in the show file.
We don't rent fixtures by the unit and hand you a color swatch. Lighting is designed around the room, the layout, the program, and the look you're going for. The fixture count and type follows from that design, not the other way around.
Lighting that works with staging, A/V, decor, and the overall environment rather than being added on top of it. When Event Pro is handling multiple elements of a production, the lighting is designed and executed as part of the whole, not a separate scope bolted on.
A wireless uplight package gets set and left. A full production has a lighting director running cues against the program. We staff the board for events that need it, so the room looks right during cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, and every transition in between.
Mid-Atlantic
Event Pro's lighting operation is based in Maryland and covers the full DC metro corridor. We regularly design and operate lighting for galas at hotel ballrooms in Baltimore and Annapolis, conferences at convention centers in the District, corporate events throughout Northern Virginia, and weddings at venues across the region. Uplight packages, full production rigs, and everything in between, installed and operated by the same crew handling the overall event.
South Florida
Event Pro's Florida operation covers Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Collier counties, with regular work in the Orlando resort market and Central Florida. We design and operate event lighting for hotel ballrooms, waterfront venues, tented outdoor receptions, brand activations, and large-scale productions throughout the region. The same design standards and fixture inventory that apply in Maryland apply in Florida, operated by our Florida crew as part of the complete production.
