The Project

A ballroom at dinner.
An arena
at concert.

The Cordish Companies' 2024 annual holiday party brought the company together for an evening that moved from formal dinner to full concert. Same space, no scene change. EventPro delivered the scenic production at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland in Hanover: rigging, lighting, custom fabrication, drape, graphics, bar builds, furnishings, and environmental design.

The visual anchors of the room were four large rotating crystal chandeliers, each built with tiered rings of hanging crystal strands, rigged on motors from the venue ceiling, and fitted with embedded LED lights for full color control. The chandeliers turned continuously throughout the evening. During dinner, they ran warm white. When the concert began, all four shifted to full RGB color control and cycled through the spectrum for the duration of the performance.

A row of custom-branded dinner stations lined one side of the ballroom, each carrying circular medallion signage identifying the vendor: LukFu, Cece's, and The Prime Rib. EventPro's fabrication team also built the "Something Sweet" dessert bar: a navy ribbed bar structure with script lettering on the face and three backlit circular icons above. A holly-inspired holiday graphic ran on the venue's LED band around the mezzanine, extending the event's visual design above the main floor throughout the evening.

How It Was Built

Production elements and
technical execution

01
Motorized Rotating Crystal Chandeliers with Embedded LEDs
Four large crystal chandeliers, each built with tiered rings of hanging crystal strands, were rigged on motors from the venue ceiling and fitted with embedded LED lights for full color control. The chandeliers rotated continuously throughout the event. During dinner service, they ran warm white. For the concert, all four shifted to full RGB color control and cycled through the spectrum for the duration of the performance. No scene break, no announcement.
02
Scenic Environment, Drape, and Textiles
Full-room drape and textiles built the base layer of the event environment. Black drape anchored the rear of the footprint behind the stage and station areas, giving every other production element a clean surface to read against. Custom furnishings and décor filled the floor plan, and textile treatments carried the holiday palette through every part of the room. By the time doors opened, nothing about the original venue read through.
03
Branded Station Signage and Custom Fabrication
The dinner station row was outfitted with custom circular medallion signs identifying each vendor: LukFu, Cece's, and The Prime Rib. EventPro's fabrication team built the "Something Sweet" dessert bar from scratch: a navy ribbed bar front with script lettering, three backlit circular food icons overhead, and a full service counter built into the structure.
04
Environmental Graphics and Print Production
A holly-inspired holiday graphic ran on the venue's LED band around the mezzanine, carrying the event's visual design above the main floor and around the full perimeter of the room. The circular medallion signs, backlit bar icons, and Something Sweet bar face were all produced in-house by EventPro's fabrication and print team. Designing and building from the same shop meant the graphics and the fabrication matched.
