The Qatar-USA 50th Anniversary Gala marked half a century of diplomatic relations between two nations — and the Embassy of Qatar needed a production that carried the weight of the moment. Held at The Anthem in Washington DC, one of the most technically capable event venues in the country, the evening brought together diplomats, government officials, and dignitaries for a landmark state celebration.

EventPro, a full-service event production and scenic fabrication company based in Maryland and serving the DC region, designed and built the complete scenic environment for the evening. The centerpiece: a custom 60-foot wide by 35-foot tall golden stage arch, fabricated in-house at our 80,000 sq ft Maryland production facility, transported to Washington DC, and rigged into position at The Anthem's stage. The arch was finished with a surface treatment of layered metallic discs — each one catching and redirecting light across the room from every angle — creating a visual signature that defined the entire space.

Beyond the stage arch, EventPro designed and fabricated the event entrance archway — a custom-built passage that set the tone for guests from the moment they arrived — along with the speaker's lectern and a series of custom exhibit booths for the Qatar Foundation International. Each booth featured Islamic-inspired arch structures with integrated LED edge lighting and branded graphic panels, creating a dedicated exhibition environment within the gala.

The result was a cohesive scenic environment that honored the significance of the occasion — bold enough to fill The Anthem's scale, refined enough to reflect the diplomatic weight of the evening.
