Sting and Andrea
Bocelli —
Private Concert

Miller Theatre  ·  Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Project

A Tuscan villa.
Built inside
a theatre.

When a confidential client commissioned an 80th birthday celebration featuring performances by both Andrea Bocelli and Sting, the brief was unambiguous: transform the Miller Theatre in Philadelphia into Andrea Bocelli's Tuscan villa — completely, convincingly, and within a single build window. EventPro, a full-service event production and scenic fabrication company based in Maryland and serving clients across the Mid-Atlantic, designed, fabricated, and installed every element — from the first sketch to the final hang.

EventPro's design team developed detailed 3D renderings of every proposed environment — the main stage set, the dining room, the upstairs VIP lounge and meet-and-greet area — each presented to the client for approval before a single piece of material was cut. Every element was then fabricated in-house at EventPro's 80,000 sq ft Maryland production facility, just outside Washington DC, and transported to Philadelphia for a full multi-floor install.

The result was a complete environmental transformation. Stone wall panels, wooden beam structures, arched window facades, a simulated full moon and starry night sky, chandeliers and intimate candle lighting, rustic dining furniture — across multiple floors of the venue, every room told the same story. Guests weren't attending a concert. They were spending an evening in the Italian countryside.

How It Was Built

Production elements and
technical execution

01
Full-Venue Scenic Transformation
Every interior surface of the Miller Theatre was addressed — stone wall panels, wooden beam structures, arched window facades, and period-appropriate architectural detail fabricated and installed across the main floor, stage, and VIP upper level. Everything was designed, built, and transported to Philadelphia from EventPro's Maryland production facility.
02
Custom Printed Backdrops and Graphics
Large-format custom printed materials were used throughout — Tuscan landscape vistas, scenic countryside backdrops, and textured surface graphics adding depth and realism that fabricated surfaces alone couldn't achieve.
03
Atmosphere and Lighting Design
A simulated full moon and starry night sky were created using a combination of custom rigging, projection, and practical lighting. Chandeliers, candlelight, and warm amber wash lighting created an intimate Tuscan evening ambiance across the dining floor, stage, and lounge — every zone matched the environment.
04
3D Concept Approval Process
Before any material was cut, EventPro's design team produced photorealistic 3D renderings of every environment — stage, dining room, upstairs lounge, and bar — and presented them to the client for approval. The final build matched the approved renderings with precision, ensuring the completed environment matched the vision exactly.
